Business Central as item source for images and content
Items, colors, sizes, EANs, and product information from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- In production
This is the route
- Your Business Central partner sets up an API page for Photopilot.
- Photopilot imports the model, color, size, and barcode for each item reference.
- Changes come in every two hours; a full run follows every day.
- Images and texts are added to those items; Business Central itself remains unchanged.
Business Central at a glance
- What is exchanged
- Photopilot imports the model, color, size, and barcode for each item reference from an API page in Business Central. It also imports the description, brand, item group, supplier item number, composition, dimensions, and season or collection. Nothing is written back to Business Central.
- How often
- Every two hours, Photopilot reads what has changed since the previous run, with a ten-minute overlap so a late change is not missed. A full run follows once a day.
- What you provide
- An app registration in Microsoft Entra ID (client ID and secret) with access to the Business Central API, and the API page your partner builds. We provide the field list.
- Good to know
- That API page is already running for a Photopilot customer. Your partner receives the same specification, so no custom work is needed on our side.
