Which camera and software does Photopilot Studio work with?
Photopilot Studio is an app for Windows and macOS with a direct Canon connection; photos appear with the correct item during the shoot. If you use other studio software, like Capture One, photos are received via a shared folder or network drive, with fixed filenames.
Do we have to use AI when working with Photopilot Studio?
No. With Photopilot Studio, you shoot with your own camera, lighting, photographers, and models. AI features like Model Swap and Size Guarantee are optional, not mandatory.
What is the approximate cost of a studio setup with Photopilot Studio?
A Photopilot setup with a Canon EOS R6, 2-4 flash units or lamps, and Photopilot Studio starts at approximately €12,500-€25,000. These amounts are indicative and depend on existing equipment, setup, and volume. In a demo, we will make this concrete for your studio.
When is a fixed photo setup a better fit than Photopilot Studio?
A fixed photo line makes sense when almost every item follows exactly the same shooting process, such as packshots only. Photopilot Studio is a good fit when packshots, sets, models, AI models, and custom work are mixed. The automation is in the software: background removal, cropping, review, and export.
What happens to a photo after it's taken in the studio?
In Photopilot Studio, each shot immediately receives article, pose, set, sequence, and publication status. Then, crop, aspect ratio, color, any AI editing, filename, and publication follow the rules you set in advance. After selection and approval, the image goes to the webshop, FTP, or an export file.
