Storage and distribution Azure Blob Storage

Azure Blob as output or source within Photopilot

Approved images with fixed folders and filenames in your Azure Blob container.

  • In production
Azure Blob Storage

This is the route

  1. You create a SAS URL for the container.
  2. Photopilot writes approved images to a fixed folder structure.
  3. Filenames follow your own rule, with item, view, and sequence.
  4. A replaced or deleted image is also cleaned up in Azure.

Azure Blob Storage at a glance

What is exchanged
Photopilot writes approved images to your Azure Blob container, using a fixed folder structure and your file names. If your team replaces or deletes an image, Photopilot also cleans up the old file in Azure. Azure can run alongside FTP or Shopware.
How often
Usually within a few minutes after approval, with automatic retry if an upload fails.
What you provide
A SAS URL for the container with write permissions, and delete permissions if Photopilot needs to clean up replaced images. Optionally, a base folder.
Good to know
Five customers export to Azure this way. Photopilot does not use your Azure account, only the SAS URL, which you can revoke yourself.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly does an approved image appear in Azure?

Usually within a few minutes after approval, with automatic retry if an error occurs.

What does Photopilot need for the Azure integration?

A SAS URL for the container with write permissions, and delete permissions if replaced images need to be cleaned up.

Can Azure run alongside our web shop and FTP?

Yes. Azure can run alongside Shopware, FTP, PIM, DAM, or custom exports without loose manual downloads.

How do I keep track of what has been published to Azure?

Storage stays linked to article and publication status. Reporting tracks what has been published or needs reprocessing.

How to start

First the trial route, then the technique

The integration is the starting point. After that, Photopilot keeps linking, editing, writing, checking, and publishing together.

  1. What is the source of truth?

Which fields, images, and barcodes define the item.

  2. What can be automated?

Link, crop, and text, or show an exception first.

  3. Where should it go?

Webshop, FTP, Azure, or API, before anything is built.
