Import Scayle for images, text, and content status
Products, live images, and their order from Scayle; new images through your file workflow.
- In production
- Read only
This is the route
- Photopilot imports products and their images from Scayle, including position and reference.
- For each item, you can see which images are live and in what order.
- New images are sent to the shop through your file route, such as FTP or Azure.
- Photopilot can remove a replaced image from Scayle on request.
Scayle at a glance
- What is exchanged
- Through the Admin API, Photopilot reads products, images with their position and ID, and whether each product already has a live description. Photopilot does not write new images to Scayle itself: those go through your file workflow. Photopilot can remove a replaced image from Scayle if you enable that.
- How often
- Every two hours, Photopilot reads which images are live in Scayle, with one full run per day. The content status is also updated every two hours.
- What you provide
- An Admin API token for your Scayle tenant, the tenant space, and the shop ID. With only a storefront token, Photopilot can also read data, but without fixed image positions.
- Good to know
- We read large catalogs in rounds of up to 30 minutes. Anything not read by then is picked up in the next round from the same point.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often does Photopilot read from Scayle?
Every two hours, with one full run per day. The content status is also updated every two hours.
What does Photopilot need for the Scayle integration?
An Admin API token, the tenant space, and the shop ID. A storefront token alone also works, but without fixed image positions.
Is Scayle a source or destination for our product data?
Source. Photopilot reads the catalog and content status but does not upload images or texts to Scayle. Approved images and texts go via an FTP folder or the API.
How do I keep track of the publication status in Scayle?
Photopilot checks per item if content is already live in Scayle. Reports show which products are ready, incomplete, or blocked.
First the trial route, then the technique
The integration is the starting point. After that, Photopilot keeps linking, editing, writing, checking, and publishing together.
What is the source of truth?
Which fields, images, and barcodes define the item.
What can be automated?
Link, crop, and text, or show an exception first.
Where should it go?
Webshop, FTP, Azure, or API, before anything is built.
