Shopify at a glance
- What is exchanged
- Photopilot imports products, variants with SKU and barcode, and images through the Admin API. Approved images and copy are written back, and sets are written as complementary products in the metafield of the Search & Discovery app. Themes with the complementary products block show them directly as a cross-sell.
- How often
- By default, products are imported every two hours. An approved image usually goes to Shopify through the export queue within a few minutes, and sets are included with every image export.
- What you provide
- Your own app in your Shopify admin with an Admin API token and read and write permissions for products.
- Good to know
- We test the integration on your development store first, or with a few products, before it runs on the live store.

Frequently Asked Questions

Usually within a few minutes after approval, via the export queue. By default, we import products every two hours.

Does the Shopify integration work alongside an ERP or PIM?
